M'Guinness Building Design & Construction, Inc. Also know as MBDC, Inc., was founded by Jim M’Guinness.  Jim is a construction professional who specializes in assisting homeowners, contractors and interior designers achieve their goals by providing guidance and execution with design, preparing plans, the permitting process, project costing, scheduling and construction management.

Jim has been involved in all aspects of construction and design for over 40 years.  From designing & building multi million dollar custom homes to small modest additions & remodels.  MBDC's goal is to help people maneuver through the entire design and building process or any part the client would like.  Jim is a California licensed general contractor and holds a certificate in building inspection.  He also is an advanced AutoCAD user specializing in architectural  design.

Jim does not use his contractors license to contract construction with clients anymore, he uses his past experience as a contractor and designer to concentrate preparing deigns and plans from a builder's perspective.  This unique approach along with Jim's qualifications help provide a straight forward approach to design to define the project accurately.  This allows the client to be in control of the end result and construction cost as well as the builder/contractor having a set of plans that are accurate, detailed and realistic that make sense to the contractor / builder.
